Well, it's been a while since I posted anything on my blog. Wish I had a great reason but there is rarely a great reason for not doing something worth being done. Since my last post I have attended the "A Sustainable Faith Conference" in Saint Petersburg Florida where IGN's very own Tim Salmonson was one of the breakout speakers, and he had a marvelous presentation if I do say so myself! I also spent five weeks in Uganda. I was there studying with my fellow master's degree students. It was an amazing experience to learn and dream with the students, our professors, and to experience and learn from those I met in Uganda. The stories of struggle and triumph are incredible and my heart and prayers go out to them all! On the return trip home I stopped off for a ten day layover that I spent in Europe; Netherlands, Belgium, France, and Luxembourg. It was my first non-serving (volunteering - Germany 2002 & 2004) trip to Europe and a great way to to bring in my birthday! It was a milestone... you guess which one. :-) Once back in Chicagoland I attended the Willow Creek Global Leadership summit where I was inspired to "lead people from here to there", be a "fantastic" employee, "never ever give up", and "bring hope" wherever I am at. Next week I will be attending the CCDA National Conference here in Chicago. It is the first time I will be attending so I am looking forward to the new experience and applying it to my ministry. I am also working on a new development program with IGN. I figure it is about time I put some of that fantastic education I am getting into practice. ;-) I hope to launch early 2011 so I will fill you in more later. hint... it involves empowering people and sustainable income.
So... now you are caught up on what's going on with me. I'll try to be more diligent in my postings. :-)
Blessings,
Cindie
